Hello, Wabash Valley Woodworkers.  I got the name of your group from Eva Haviarova at Purdue, who suggested that some of you may be interested in a presentation I'll be giving in your neck of the woods during March.
I'm a professional woodworker and writer, trained in the UK, now living in Bloomington, with work published in Fine Woodworking, Fine Homebuilding, American Bungalow, Old-House Interiors, and similar magazines.  I have also taught a cabinetmaking class at Kelly Mehler's school for four years (though we're not doing that class this year).
Last year my book, The Hoosier Cabinet in Kitchen History, was published by the Indiana University Press, and I'll be giving a talk related to that book at the Tippecanoe County Public Library on March 10th at 7pm.  I would be most grateful if you would pass this information on to your members and to anyone else who may be interested.  It's a fun talk with lots of illustrations (showing some contemporary work in addition to lots of old ads, with some material about the history of woodworking).
More information is available at
www.nrhillerdesign.com .  Please let me know if there's any other information I can provide.  I'd love to meet some of you!
Thank you,
Nancy
